Mitsubishi Ductless Quick Start Guide

(Simple Guide for Homeowners)

BLACK LOTUS HEATING & AIR

Quick Guide for Your Mitsubishi Ductless System

Your system is designed to automatically adjust itself for comfort and efficiency.

If something seems unusual, use the steps below before calling for service.

1. Normal Settings (Best Everyday Setup)

Set your remote to:

MODE: HEAT (☀) in winter

MODE: COOL (❄) in summer

FAN: AUTO 🌀

TEMP: Set to your comfort level

Your system will automatically adjust airflow and speed.

2. Why the Fan May Stop (Normal

Behavior)

Mitsubishi systems sometimes pause airflow to protect comfort.

This is normal when:

• The system is starting up

• The system is warming the coil

• The outdoor unit is defrosting

During this time:

✔ The vane may close

✔ The fan may stop

✔ Heat resumes within 3–8 minutes

3. Quick System Check

If the room doesn't feel warm enough:

1⃣ Make sure MODE = HEAT (☀)

2⃣ Set temperature 5° higher than room temperature

3⃣ Set FAN = AUTO 🌀

4⃣ Wait 5 minutes

Your system should begin producing heat.

4. Check the Filters (Every 2–3 Months)

Dirty filters reduce performance.

To clean:

1. Lift the front panel

2. Remove the filters

3. Rinse with water

4. Let dry and reinstall

5. Outdoor Unit

Your outdoor unit may occasionally:

• Release steam in winter

• Make quiet humming sounds

• Run at different speeds

All of this is normal operation.

6. When to Call Us

Please contact us if:

• The system shows flashing lights

• The unit won't turn on

• No heating or cooling after 10 minutes
